Inspections and maintenance

The legal requirements for the inspection and maintenance of aboveground tanks are laid down in directives. These directives may vary from country to country. In the Netherlands, each tank, and its maintenance, is required to be Kiwa-approved. In addition, the tanks must comply with VLG/ADR and UN standards.

Inspection and maintenance of aboveground tanks

All installation- and maintenance work on aboveground fuel tanks must be performed by qualified service technicians. The same is true for the periodic inspections.
